Meditation enhances your ability to consistently use the higher senses.
The Sixth Sense is Intuition (Spiritual sight, higher awareness)
The Seventh Sense is Intention (Spiritual purpose, higher context)
The Eighth Sense is Imagination (Spiritual creativity, higher possibility)
Intuition leads to Intention, which leads to Imagination. Your awareness (Intuition) leads you to Remember God/Choose Love/Create Value, which becomes the highest context (Intention) for your life.
This choice activates the will, which arises as the decision to meditate. This decision initiates the connection to the creative ideas emanating from the spiritual realm.
This creativity (Imagination) is a continuous source of the fully formed ideas from which all artists, scientists, and inventors receive their inspirations, visions and dreams.
Imagination is the sense through which Soul Purpose is revealed. A misnomer that is often taught in certain beliefs systems is that we can do anything, and that we are limitless. We are only limitless within the framework of our Soul Purpose; in all other areas we are actually quite limited.
If we were limitless, I could decide to fly unaided off a building. No matter my belief system, that is not going to happen without physical peril or death. Or I could decide to become the greatest golfer in the world, but in truth no matter how hard I tried, it would not be possible, since it is not within the realm of my Soul Purpose.
And yet all of my life, at a deep level, I knew I was always destined to become that which I am. As I continued to educate myself and apply the spiritual disciplines, clients sought me out and the mission evolved in ways that I pictured only in my imagination.
The more consistently I meditated, the greater my ability to focus my concentration on any endeavor, whether creating a business plan or synthesizing the knowledge read from a book into life application.
Through meditation, the noise of ego-thoughts is transcended so that we become aware of the Soul Purpose already fully formed. The mind is ninety-five percent silent, and only five percent noise. You are merely focused on the noise.
Imagine waking up bright and early on a summer day and going outside to enjoy the morning. What might you hear—quite probably a symphony of birdsong, right? You hear them so clearly because everything else is silent and still.
The ninety-five percent background of early morning silence allows you to hear the five percent birdsong very clearly. But you do not acknowledge the existence of the silence, without which the beauty of the birdsong would be lost. If there were a construction site next door with thirty dump trucks at work you’d never hear the birds.
The silence is context, the birdsong is content. It is the silence that allows you to hear them so clearly, and so it is with your mind. You are simply hypnotized by the five percent—you’re ninety-five percent on your way to oneness with higher mind!
In meditation, we discover the power of the ninety-five per cent silent space that is the God-Self Awareness Point.
